Artist's Description
I spent the morning today meeting and visiting with the wolves at the Rocky Mountain Wildlife Foundation (RMWF). RMWF is a sanctuary, rehabilitation and environmentally natural housing for captive-born wolves and wolfdogs who have suffered from injuries, neglect or abuse. The owner, Mark Johnson, expertly cares for all the wolves on a large property in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. His love for them comes through as we spent time with each of the wolves. I was a bit scared at first as I have never seen a wolf before, let alone go in their den and play with them! But that is what I did . . . and I loved it!!
This one here is Lady . . . a furry ball of high energy. No matter how tall you are, she'll jump up and kiss your face. Super playful!
