Description
Krakow, Poland - November 2, 2019: Burning candles illuminate the Franciscans' Tomb and Cross of the Victims of Communism on All Saints' Day at Salwator Cemetery. All Saints’ Day in Poland is one of the nation’s most important holidays. It is a solemn celebration of life, a time of reflection and a day when families gather at cemeteries to honor the lives of those no longer living. Both November 1st and 2nd are days rooted in Roman Catholic traditions with special church services offered in memory of the dead.
